Asus is currently the world's 6th largest PC manufacturer but, as the modern world watches a paradigm shift to the smartphones, the famous PC manufacturer also plans to step into the smartphone industry and set it up there as well. Asus has seen some great success recently in the mid-range segment and the sub-premium segment with their Zenfone series of smartphones.
The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 and the Asus Zenfone 5Z were very well received by the consumers. Now, when 2019 is just round the corner, and smartphone manufacturers moving closer and closer to the true bezel-less smartphone design, Asus is in no mood to be left behind in the race.
According to the reports and some leaked images, Asus is working on their new generation of Zenfone devices which is the Asus Zenfone 6. The leaked images of the Asus Zenfone 6 hints at a in-display front facing camera just like the one that we earlier covered on this blog (by Samsung).
Second prototype, is something that we have already seen in the current generation of smartphones. This one sports a waterdrop or a dew drop notch as you wish to call it, on the front but, the difference is that instead of sitting at the middle of the top bezel, Asus has decided to place it at the corner. The other things are fairly similar with a dual rear camera setup and fingerprint sensor at the back.
The third prototype which is somewhat closer to a real world device rather than being just a prototype is the least exciting of the lot due to the presence of the old styled notch. But, to it's favour it sports a triple camera setup at the back which might be exciting and important for some if not all.
Well, that's pretty much it for the Asus Zenfone 6, we will surely keep you updated if there are any other leaks about the device.
