Xiaomi Mi TV 4 series launched in India

Xiaomi, the chinese smartphone manufacturer has successfully made its place in the smartphone industry with some great value for money offerings in each category ranging from the budget segment to the premium flagship segment. Recently, Xiaomi announced their much awaited and supposed budget king the Redmi Note 5 and the Redmi Note 5 Pro. We have already posted our review for these devices so make sure to check them out.

Also, Xiaomi announced their Mi TV 4 along with the Redmi Note 5. The Mi TV 4 is Xiaomi's attempt to capture the smart TV market by offering a 55-inch 4K panel at just Rs. 39,999 which Xiaomi has claimed to be the cheapest 4K smart TV available in India from a reputed company like Xiaomi. Mi TV 4 is Xiaomi's first ever smart TV that has been launched in India.

Now, less than a month after announcing the 55-inch 4K Mi TV 4, Xiaomi has again launched an entire Mi TV 4 series of smart TVs with varying screen sizes and resolution for catering the needs of all types of customers. This series goes by the name Mi LED Smart TV 4A.

The series consists of a 43-inch Mi TV 4A alongside a 32-inch Mi TV 4A. Both these televisions are smart TVs powered by Xiaomi's android based TvOS designed specifically for India which they call as the Patchwall. 

Pricing and launch offers

What one can surely speak for Xiaomi is their pricing and this time too Xiaomi has kept the price of the Mi TV 4A series products at a bare minimum which leaves little room for anyone to complaint about anything that they offer at the said price. The 43-inch version is priced at Rs. 22,999 and the 32-inch variant is priced at just Rs. 13,999. Both the smart TVs will go on sale from Tuesday, 13th March via Mi.com, Flipkart and Mi Home Stores. Company has also promised adequate availability of stocks starting from the first sale itself.

Launch offers for both the 43-inch Xiaomi Mi LED Smart TV 4A and 32-inch Xiaomi Mi TV 4A include Rs. 2,200 instant cashback if coupled with a JioFi connection. Both TVs offer over 500,000 hours of content (80 percent of which will be free content as claimed by Xiaomi). Content partners include Hotstar, Voot, Voot Kids, Sony Liv, Hungama Play, Zee5, Sun NXT, ALT Balaji, Viu, TVF, and Flickstree.

Mi TV 4A Specifications

The 43-inch Mi TV 4A sports a FHD resolution display panel with 178 degree viewing angle and a 60Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a quad-core Amlogic processor coupled with the Mali-T450 GPU. It has 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of storage. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, three HDMI ports, three USB 2.0 ports, one Ethernet port, one AV component port, one S/PDIF audio port, an antenna port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The 32-inch variant sports a HD display panel with 178 degree viewing angle and a 60Hz refresh rate. It is also powered by a quad-core Amlogic SoC coupled with 1GB RAM, and 8GB of inbuilt storage. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, three HDMI ports, two USB 2.0 ports, one Ethernet port, one AV component port, an antenna port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

With the launch of Mi TV series in India, Xiaomi is aiming to compete with the already established bigger players who dominate the TV industry like Samsung, LG and Sony.
