Upcoming Asus Zenfone - Best mid-range smartphone

Recently, there has been a large rise in the number of options we as customers can look at in the lower mid-range segment of the smartphones. The average lower mid-range smartphone now packs a ton of computation power in terms of the processor and memory configuration and also, gone are the days when asking for a decent camera experience in the budget segment was a huge bargain.

These lower mid-range devices are capable of taking some decent photographs and also capture videos at Full HD resolutions at 60 fps in some cases and also, 4K video recording is also a feature that you can see in a good number of mid-range devices from manufacturers like Asus, Huawei with their subsidiary brand Honor. Asus, particularly has seen tremendous success in the lower mid-range segment with their latest offering the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1.

The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 has been very well received by the masses as it packs a huge bang for the buck. The Zenfone Max Pro M1 is powered by the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC, which is a 14nm architecture Octa-core CPU clocked at 1.8 GHz consisting of the 4 Kryo 260 cores.
It is available in many different variants starting with the base variant with 3GB Ram and 32GB memory and all the way upto 6GB of Ram and 128GB of storage. The screen is a 6 inches FHD+ IPS LCD Panel with a 18:9 aspect ratio.

Apart from the great specs that the Zenfone Max Pro M1 offers, the thing that had the customers in the mid-range segment attracted towards the device is the Android One tag that comes along with it, ensuring guaranteed updates for the next 2 years and the camera performance of the device which is great for the asking price. Not to forget to mention the massive 5000mah battery that will easily last a day or two. The only let down is the presence of the old micro usb 2.0 port instead of the newer USB type-C port that Asus should have given.

Other than that, there is absolutely nothing to complain about in the Zenfone Max Pro M1, but wait Asus has other plans as they are sending out invites for their upcoming launch on October 17. We expect that Asus will be launching the new upcoming Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2, a successor to the already hugely successful Zenfone Max Pro M1.

It is pretty obvious that the upcoming Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 will be better than the predecessor in terms of performance, camera and also looks. Though there are no leaks about how the smartphone will look or even some details regarding the specifications. But since it is Asus you are talking about, so you can expect it to be another best in the segment.

According to some leaks on TENAA it seems that the upcoming Zenfone Max Pro M2 will have the Snapdragon 660 SoC which is great. Also, we would love to see a better overall design than the Zenfone Max Pro M1 and even better camera performance. We will surely cover the launch event and post a review of the device when its available but for that you'll have to wait until 17th October. Till then let us know what you expect from the upcoming Asus Zenfone in the comment section down below.
