Today we bring to you all the latest information about the Nokia 7 plus so that you can be sure of what to expect out of the MWC 2018 event.
Nokia 7, launched in October 2017, is company's only device to feature a glass chassis and is currently only available in China. This makes it pretty obvious that the Nokia 7 plus will also have a glass chassis. So, we can expect a very attractive and stunning design.
Earlier this week, some more renders of the device have surfaced from China which hint that the Nokia 7 plus will sport the new 18:9 aspect ratio full screen design and also feature a front glass panel and a rear glass body with a aluminium frame between them. The device is also expected to be splash proof with an IP54 rating.
Talking about the screen of the device, as mentioned earlier it will be in the new 18:9 aspect ratio and will sport a FHD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. Unlike the Nokia 7, the Nokia 7 plus will have the fingerprint sensor placed at the back side of the smartphone as the major front area will be covered by the 18:9 aspect ratio screen.
A Geekbench listing also revealed that the device will be powered by a Snapdragon 660 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM. Another variant with 6GB of RAM might also be available just like the original Nokia 7 but that's just a speculation. The device might be available with 64GB storage along with a microSD card slot for expansion.
Moving on to the camera, Nokia will stick to their deal with Zeiss Optics which means that Nokia 7 plus will also have Zeiss certified lenses used in the camera. Nokia 7 plus will have a rear dual camera setup with 12MP + 13MP lenses. There will be support for optical image stabilization (OIS) and 2x optical zoom. The front camera will be a 16MP shooter.
The phone is pegged to launch with Android 8.0 oreo out of the box. It does retain the 3.5mm headphone jack and supports USB type-C along with fast charging. The battery is expected to be about 3,450mAh and the phone will be priced at around $500.

Nokia 7 plus does look solid on the paper with some very good (if not excellent) specs for the price but it will have to face stiff competition from the OnePlus 5T and other offerings in this range which offer similar or better features for around the same price.
