A few points that you must keep in mind whenever you are installing a new application in your smartphone are -
- Do not install any application from untrusted third party markets. Always use the App Store for iOS and Google Play Store for android smartphones.
- Don't install apps that claim to improve your battery performance as they instead of improving your battery life will harm it by sucking on the battery's juice while running in the background.
- Don't install antivirus applications as your smartphone is itself capable to do everything that the antivirus applications claim to do and such applications are only needed for those who oftenly install apps from third party sources.
- Never install any app that claims to increase storage space like Clean Master as the same can be done yourself by going into settings and clearing the cache. Moreover, such apps can slow down your phone by frequently killing applications to increase free RAM, so the killed apps have to be restarted again which eventually leads to consuming even more power.
